NOTD: Dior ~ Forget Me Not ~ Garden Party Collection
Posted September 14, 2013on:
Forget Me Not from Dior’s Garden Party Collection of 2012 is a very pretty purple, a bit of a dusty purple and reminds me not so much of Forget Me Not flowers but more of a lilac in full bloom. I won this polish from a great You Tube channel called Beauty Abroad which is Angela and she lives in Turkey. She is a Make Up Artist by trade and has an awesome collection of nail polish, especially butter London but also a lot of high end make up items. I was so happy to win this because Dior is not available in my little town and when I do make it to the big town to shop I usually have my eyes set on CHANEL so Dior gets overlooked by me. This is the only Dior polish I own. Which is crazy because it is a great polish.
This picture shows I have almost used the full bottle of Forget Me Not it really is a favorite purple. The formula is smooth, easy coverage with a wider brush, not as wide as the Sally Hansen CSM or the WnW Mega Last but just wide enough to make application a breeze. Thanks again to Angela for having the giveaway and sending this to me!
Another reason I particularly wanted this polish is it was released with the Dior Garden Party palette. I got the Granville Party palette clutch and I love, love it. It is one of my prized make up possessions. Under the silver tab are 2 lip glosses and with this one palette you can make several beautiful looks. The clutch is very well made, it has a heft to it and I know it will last for years. I especially love the rosé bud clasp.
Though I am nearing the end of the bottle and had to dig for the polish to be on the brush the formula is still smooth as ever, no goopy-ness or glopping whatsoever. It is the same as the first time I used it. I love the kind of a dusty purple of this color and I am going to have to buy another bottle soon. I am definetly going to look for more Dior polishes on my next shopping trip which is coming up soon. I need a dress for my daughter’s wedding!
This is a dress I think I like for the wedding, but of course I need to try it on first and maybe change the color of the bow to cream, light pink or gold to match the wedding colors. I don’t think that would be a hard change to make. What do you all think of this dress? I imagine I will be seen from the back most of the time so I thought this would be a good one. this is not my photo, it is from the Nordstrom website. Let me know what you think!
Have you tried Dior polish? For more info and pictures of Dior polish please check out my friend Carla’s blog she recently posted some pictures of Dior Mixed Purple which I called the big brother of Forget Me Not. An apt description, I believe.
💅 As always, thanks for stopping by!
