My Top 5 Polish for Right Now and Forward to Spring
Posted on: February 23, 2013

These are my top 5 picks for right now, and for moving forward into Spring. You know I promised not to whine about Spring until Lent, so now that Lent is here I am wishing for some Spring, any day now would be good!
1⃣On my thumb I have from Color Club Winter Affair. I got this at Sally’s for $1.99 and I love it. I never thought I would love gold nail polish but thanks to MissHollyberries she got me to thinking about gold nail polish and it is stunning. Not only as an accent nail but on all 10. Thanks for that Holly!
2⃣On my pointer finger I have from butter LONDON Two Fingered Salute. I believe this was a Nordstrom exclusive but you can find it on butter LONDON’s website as well as here
This is a muted turquoise with a pink copper shimmer you have to see to believe. The shimmer definitely transfers to the nail. Love this polish, for this time of year and any time of year!
3⃣On my middle finger from OPI Koala Bear-y. This is a basic Barbie-ish pink that every girl needs now and then. This is a great time of year for this color, not too bright but just bright enough to remind us, it won’t be long and all the flowers will be in bloom and we can welcome Spring with open arms! You can find Koala Bear-y where ever OPI is sold, and don’t forget I can get any OPI for you. 😘
4⃣On my ring finger from Wet n Wild, the Fergie collection Miami Spirit. This is a bright turquoise blue in the bottle with a slight shimmer but it fell flat on my nails. This isn’t necessarily a recommendation for this polish, more for the color. I was disappointed in the polish, like I said in my video, I checked the bottle to make sure it wasn’t supposed to be a matte finish. Once the top coat was on it was better. You can find the Fergie collection wherever Wet n Wild is sold, which is most drug stores. I bought mine at Walgreen’s.
And 5⃣On my pinky from Revlon After Party. These were released last fall as part of the Gucci Westman collection for Revlon. I love this muted blue-green color for now and for always.

I put a bit of thought into these picks, but really, you can wear any color, any time
I have no problem with wearing OPI Russian Navy in the middle of the summer just as I have no problem wearing Essie Play Date in December. These are just some suggestions and some of the polishes I’ll be wearing in the next few weeks while we wait for the warmer weather. But I just wanted to make clear I don’t believe in any rules when it comes to polish. The whole idea of polish and why I collect it, is to wear what makes me happy. As silly as it may sound, my nail polish does make me happy, not happy like a warm spring day, but pretty darn close!
💅As always, thanks for stopping by!

Love that butter LONDON color and the Fergie one is to-die-for! I know you said it almost dried matte and I appreciate knowing that! I had to Google more swatches and oh MY…it’s pretty! I’ll have to pick it up! Gotta love the price on those, huh?! Hope you and Betty are having a good weekend. Also…how’s your dad doing? ♥

Thanks Lu, my Dad is still a bit on the weak side, but don’t tell him I said that! He is a little nervous about that implant but won’t admit it. They sent a monitor where he calls a number and then holds a device over the implant, I hooked it all up and showed him how to use but he said he didn’t need that. So I thought well, it’s there if you need it. The woman from the monitoring place called me, he has called every morning like clockwork. I think he’s worried. We go back March 1st so well know more then. Thanks for asking, I know you didn’t want a book report -ha! But you got one anyway. You’re the best Lu, I always love your comments, 😘
